About
Model United Nations is a club that allows students to role play as delegates from different countries or as a historical person to debate global issues. This club allows for a stimulation of how an actual conference would proceed in the United Nations.
Conference Simulation
- Represent a country or historical figure in committee sessions.
- Deliver speeches and respond to points of information.
- Build public speaking and argumentation skills.
What to expect
Notes from the MUN leadership team—please read before you apply.
- MUN involves formal debates and detailed rules of procedure—they take practice and are not the same as casual arguing.
- You represent countries or organisations and their positions in committee; you are not speaking for your own personal views.
- Conferences and simulations need serious research and preparation, so members should plan for significant time outside meetings.
- As you gain experience, you can focus on committees that fit your interests and strengths.
